The Caribbean Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (CCREEE) is under the leadership of the Executive Director. The Executive Director’s Office leads the implementation of CCREEE’s main priority areas: creating an expert knowledge base; optimising technological solutions through tool development; and transforming the region by utilising sustainable energy as a means to advance the well-being of at-risk and vulnerable groups.
The Technical Department, with its eight units, is managed by the Executive Director. The Executive Director also works closely with the Executive Board and a Technical Committee. In addition to the Executive Director, the Board comprises representatives of the Government of Barbados; The Bahamas, Belize and the Commonwealth of Dominica as Contracting Parties; the CARICOM Secretariat; International Development Partners, the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO); SIDS DOCK; and an independent representative from the private sector or civil society selected by the Council for Trade and Economic Development (COTED). The Executive Boards rotates periodically.
