Various experts of the Global Network of Regional Sustainable Energy Centres (GN-SEC) are joining the sessions and side events of the Vienna Energy Forum (VEF), which will take place from 5 to 7 July 2021 in virtual form.
The event is guided by the motto, “Where Action Meets Ambition,” and identifies action-oriented steps required to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, forging an inclusive pathway that leaves no one behind and achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
This year, the VEF is gathering High-Level representatives from the public and private sector, academia, entrepreneurs and youth representatives to discuss key priorities, offer local perspectives and highlight opportunities and potential solutions that contribute to the global climate action.
he event is designed to facilitate a multi-sectoral, multi-stakeholder and interdisciplinary dialogue on sustainable energy for inclusive development and productive capacities. The VEF 2021 will include a Youth Day on the 5th of July 2021, followed by the VEF on the 6th and 7th of July 2021.The main themes are Food System Transformation, Industry Intgration, Energy Efficient Products, Energy System Transformation and Future Mobility.
