Caribbean Energy Data Collection Internship

CCREEE is the Caribbean Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, driving sustainable energy initiatives across the Caribbean. We aim to provide accurate and up-to-date data to support long-term planning, socio-economic development, and environmental sustainability in the region.

 

CCREEE is offering an exciting internship opportunity for students and young professionals interested in the energy sector. Interns will support data collection efforts in their respective countries, contributing to the 2024 Energy Report Card series and gaining valuable hands-on experience.

SCOPE OF WORK

Data will be uploaded to the sieCARICOM (Energy Information System for the Caribbean) platform within the CARICOM Energy Knowledge Hub (CEKH). This data will support the 2024 Energy Report Card series, providing insights into energy trends, renewable energy opportunities, and energy efficiency across the Caribbean. The ERCs will be made accessible through the CARICOM Energy Knowledge Hub (CEKH). The hub may be accessed by registering at https://cekh.ccreee.org

 

The countries we aim to engage are: Antigua and Barbuda; The Bahamas; Barbados; Belize; Dominica; Grenada; Guyana; Haiti; Jamaica; Montserrat; St. Kitts and Nevis; St. Lucia; St. Vincent and the Grenadines; Suriname; Trinidad and Tobago; Turks and Caicos.

 

DESIRED PROFILE

  • Pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s degree (completion by December 2026)
  • Studies in sustainable energy, environmental sciences, or related fields are an asset
  • Interest in the energy sector and willingness to learn about its socio-economic, technical, and environmental aspects
  • National or resident of one of the following countries: Antigua & Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, and Turks & Caicos Islands
  • Proficiency in English.

 

INTERNSHIP TIMEFRAME

The internship will run from May 26th th to July 31stth 2025.
